These crossings take approximately 40 minutes with the ferries running approximately every 30 minutes during the day.

The Red Jet Hi-Speed ferry service operates half-hourly between Southampton Town Quay and West Cowes. The catamarans carry foot-passengers only, and the crossing takes about 22 minutes.

Comfortable catamarans between Portsmouth Harbour and Ryde Pier Head connect the railway stations at either end of the service in around 22 minutes.
