Holiday Accommodation with EV Charging

The Isle of Wight is a fantastic place to visit with an Electric Vehicle - and guests of Chale Bay Farm and other EV drivers are welcome to take advantage of our fantastic 7.3kW Dual Charger from Project EV.

We are very pleased to have one of the latest dual chargers from Project EV that provides up to 7.3kW charging making it ideal for overnight charging after your arrival and keeping topped up during your stay and before you go home. 

Our charger is on the Project EV public network, which means you can access and pay for your charge using the Project EV Pro App.  It is also available on the Octopus Electroverse network (though their costs can include a "roaming charge" or even discounts, so see the Electroverse web site for the price).

Once you have the App installed and a payment method registered with it, using the charger is very simple - simply plug your EV in, use the App to scan the QR code displayed on the charger and start charging.  In the unlikely event you have any teething problems getting going we are often on site to help out in person.

Please remember to bring your type 2 cable with you.

Members of the public visiting nearby local points of interest such as the Wight Mouse Inn, Blackgang Chine, Chale Recreation Ground, St Andrew's Church or the "Pepperpot" (St Catherine's oratory) are also welcome to park to use our EV charger via the Project EV Pro App during the daytime and provided they remove their vehicle reasonably promptly once charging is complete.  Overnight charging is reserved for guests only.
