Manuela & Paulo 8 May 2013 | We have just spent the most glorious bank holiday weekend at Chale Bay Farm. Our room was beautiful with everything you could possibly need with the added bonus of having a patio area where we enjoyed champagne and strawberries whilst watching the sun set - the views are simply breathtaking. A big thank you to Charlotte and Steve whose warmth and friendliness (and not to mention cooked breakfasts!) made this little piece of paradise truly hard to leave. We will definitely return and would highly recommend to friends and family. |

Will most definitely recommend and very much hope to return sometime. |

The accommodation is very comfortable. The hosts and staff are very friendly and seek to ensure that all guests needs are fully addressed. Donna and Henry 8 October 2012 | Our first visit to the Isle of Wight from the U.S., and we couldn't have found a nicer place. So cozy, welcoming, and comfortable, with fabulous views. We had wild wind and rain and sunshine while we were there, and we loved every minute of it. Our hosts, Charlotte and Steve, were wonderful, and treated us like welcome guests in their own home. Would love to stay there again! |
Cherrie and Linda 26 September 2012 | This was our first stay and it was wonderful. The location with views along the coast were stunning. The sun was out but even on a day when there were spells of rain the change in the view with the clouds and then the light on the cliffs towards the Needles was magical. We loved our room which faced the view. Charlotte and Steve were so welcoming and the breakfast was delicious...(I loved the mushrooms especially !)..and all enhanced with the view once again. Its a perfect place to stay. |
Norman and Angela 28.09.12 | We have just returned from a wonderful break at Chale Bay Farm, the place is everything you want or need, Charlotte, Steve and the staff are friendly and welcoming nothing is too much trouble. The views from our lovely warm comfortable and well equipped room were wonderful which included a view of the needles (bonus!) Brilliant.... will be returning. |
Pauline 17 September 2012 | If you're cycling around the Isle of Wight this is the place to head for. Conveniently situated on the route Chale Bay Farm offered a friendly welcome, a beautifully clean, tastefully decorated and spacious room with everything we could possibly need on hand. We even had the choice of streaky or back bacon for breakfast. Well done, may you go from strength to strength. |

I was in search of a place to relax and unwind in a peaceful, beautiful setting and Chale Bay was simply perfect. The accommodation, food and service were faultless. My room was spacious and very well equipped and the views across towards The Needles were stunning. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented and the staff who looked after us were polite and attentive. Our hosts Steve & Charlotte were simply delightful and offered a very warm welcome. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. I would thoroughly recommend Chale Bay Farm and will certainly visit again in the future. |

I can only echo the comments that have already been posted here and add my thanks to all at this wonderful B&B for a lovely few days stay, with a fantastic room, brilliant views (when it wasn't foggy!), great breakfasts and very welcoming hosts. Looking forward to staying with you again, and will certainly recommend to friends and family. |
Emma and Jeremy 18/08/2012 | Only stayed one night and can only really reiterate what the previous customers have already stated. Lovely place, room worked perfectly for us, comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was great. Thank-you. (would also agree with comments about the inn across the road) |
Martin & Rachel 8th August 2012 | We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at Chale Bay Farm. The accommodation, food and attentive service were all faultless. Breakfast was so plentiful that we did not need to eat again for many hours! Every day the food was cooked to perfection. We sampled mid-day soup and a roll on one occasion, and it was beautifully presented and delicious. Steve assured us that cream teas were available, and when we sampled one we were certainly not disappointed! The staff employed in the dining room were helpful and courteous at all times. The bedroom was spacious, well-equipped (wi-fi a real bonus!) and cleaned regularly. Price-wise it was certainly reasonable. We would recommend the place to anyone and would hope to return ourselves at some time in the future. |
David Greaves 17th August 2012 | What a find, we only came over to the island for a few days and were looking for somewhere, quiet, relaxing, stylish and comfortable. We found it in Chale Bay Farm. A warm welcome awaited and nothing was ever too much trouble. The breakfasts were perfect and set us up for the day. With great views across to the Needles and open countryside, a perfect place to relax and unwind. We will be back! |
Terry & Janet 13-17July | All we wanted was a quality, relaxing short break away from our manic Midlands . What we got was Manna from Heaven. It started with the initial contact - so helpful and clear - even down to satnav variations. Our arrival greeting could not be faulted and stunning view out across to The Needles was the icing on the cake. Charlotte was a superb hostess ensuring all our wants were satisfied. The only shortfall on her endeavours was her inability to guarantee sunshine! The accommodation was first class, clean and peaceful, plus a bonus of our own patio with sea view. Steve?s breakfast cooking skills were of the highest order as was the presentation of the breakfast dining room, which had the most efficient front of house staff I have ever encountered in the much maligned (by me) Sharon. There is a fantastic inn within easy walking distant - with exceptional evening meals. Due to our life style we were never able to avail ourselves of the afternoon teas at Chale Bay Farm. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone contemplating a break on the Isle of Wight . The only negative I had for the whole experience was the high cost of ferry booked on line. - It would have been to our advantage to shop around for a special deal. Chale Bay Farm Note: We can often advise on achieving the best ferry prices or even book them on your behalf, passing on much of the trade rate discount we can achieve. We also include the ferry crossing in our longer stay discount offer. |
The Edmonds Family 14 July 2012 | What a lovely discovery. The family room was perfect, with our 4 year old loving the independence because her bed was upstairs & not right next to ours - a very clever idea. She was very excited to see out of her window rabbits on the Downs & paragliders. A beautiful location, we hope to return. Thank you. |
Ian & Angie Whatley 2nd - 10th June 2012 | We recently stayed at Chale Bay Farm for 8 glorious nights, where the accomodation was excellent and Steve (magnificent breakfasts) Charlotte(awesome scones) & Sharon (Polite & accomodating) make the perfect holiday team. We will definately return (even if its to beat the high score on donkey kong steve). We used The White Horse Inn @ Whitwell,The Essex @ Godshill which we would absolutely recommend |
Graham & Penny Clayton 7 July 2012 | We stayed at Chale Bay just one night on 3/4 July on a trip to meet family who were up from Cornwall staying for a week on the Isle of Wight over at Freshwater. This is a wonderful place to stay. It's perfectly situated at the eastern edge of the ruggedly beautiful western side of the island but still within easy reach of the resorts on the eastern side. It's a peaceful haven with extremely good accommodation, friendly hosts and an exceptionally good breakfast. 2012 has had a rotten summer so far, but we'll be back at Chale Bay when the sun shines. |
Jean & Tony Matthews 6th July 2012 | We have just stayed at Chale Bay Farm for 5 nights, wonderful accomodation our room 7 had excellent coastal views the Needles visible on a clear day, our room had its own patio with table and bench ideal for waching the lovely sunsets, the breakfasts were excellent using quality products, a big thankyou to Steve & Charlotte who were excellent hosts and to Sharon who served breakfast, we used the Buddle Inn at Niton in the evenings a good choice of food and beers. We shall be retuning. |
John & Sheila Winton 3 July | We cannot believe our good fortune in finding such a wonderful place to stay for our week's holiday. The friendly welcome from Steve and Charlotte and the thoughtful attention throughout our stay was wonderful, also of course the breakfasts. The accommodation was great including the magnificent views. Thank you. We shall return. |
Bridget and Teri 28th June | We stayed for 5 nights earlier in June after having to abandon our tent which had blown down in gale force winds. We turned up on the doorstep with a toothbrush in hand and a warm welcome awaited us from Charlotte and Steve who could not have been more helpful. We had a lovely comfortable room with a private patio and views of the bay across to the Needles. A substantial breakfast each morning and cream teas available later in the day. Clean with tasteful decor - we didn't want to come home ... |
Nicolaysen 18th June 2012 | We spent a comfortable night in the luxurious family suite at Chale Bay Farm. Patricia Topping 15th March 2012 | We found Chale Bay Farm on Laterooms.com after a last minute arrangement which took us to the IOW. It was beautifully presented near a cliff edge with coastal walks and our room overlooked the sea. My son was also most impressed with the most up to date technology for Ipad users and digital TV. We will most certainly return. |
Jane & Paul 19 February 2012 | 'Enchanting, welcoming, peaceful and very , very comfortable' are but a few of the words we would use to describe our brief but most enjoyable stay at Chale Bay Farm this month.Later in the year we hope to return to the Isle of wight in order to take advantage of the wonderful coastal walks and look forward to enjoying the great hospitality to be found at Chale Bay Farm once again. |

I was visiting the island for an event on the Saturday and was looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing to spend the rest of the week-end, and i found it! The location is just idyllic and very tranquil. The view from my room was outstanding looking out towards Freshwater Bay and The Needles. There is an excellent pub serving good food just 5 minutes walk away. The owners, Charlotte and Steve are the nicest people and very hospitable. My room was absolutely spotless.
