Take an interesting stroll around Havenstreet Station, enjoy a 10-mile round trip on a steam train and see the restoration work being carried out in the carriage and wagon workshop.
It is expected that flagship steam locomotive No. 24 ‘Calbourne’ and one of the diesel locomotives will be in operation, so take the train for a relaxing trip through the Island's early springtime countryside - You could even hop off at Ashey or Wootton for a short walk in the country.
Enjoy morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea in the Refreshment Rooms; bag a bargain from the special Half-term Railway Shop; and watch the kids let off steam in the adventure playground. Plus (weather permitting) take a stroll through the Woodland Walk. |  |  |

The annual J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, organised by the Island Sailing Club, is a one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight. The race regularly attracts over 1,700 boats and around 16,000 sailors, making it one of the largest yacht races in the world and the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs.
Situated towards the southern tip of South West Wight, Chale Bay Farm has, weather permitting, uninterupted views from the Needles to Rocken Point, approximately 20% of the 50nm course, and we'll be laying on Cream teas so bring your binoculars and telephoto lenses to watch the fleet! |  |  |
